Recreational gymnastics is both beneficial and fun for children of all ages. During class, students use all muscle groups while learning skills and having fun. It is a great activity for developing strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, spatial awareness, confidence, and self-esteem - enhancing the ability to perform most other sports. In this day and age when too many children do not get enough exercise, gymnastics is the best activity to provide a total fitness program. Fundamentals of gymnastics will be taught on all four of the Olympic events including:

Girls Gymnastics includes:
• Vault
• Uneven Bars
• Balance Beam
• Floor Exercise

Boy's Gymnastics includes:
• Floor Exercise
• Pommel Horse
• Still Rings
• Vault
• Parallel Bars
• High Bar

Other Equipment:
• Trampoline
• Tumble Track
• Air Track
• Bounce House

Each class begins with a general warm-up and stretching. During class, the children will work on three or more events each week. Emphasis is placed on learning new skills / routines, as well as reinforcing good basic technique. Strong emphasis is placed on body awareness and safety.
